Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Fork or skewer
  • Spoon

Materials

  • 1 pound fresh grapes preferably seedless
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1-2 teaspoons cotton candy flavoring optional
  • Crushed hard candies Jolly Ranchers or similar
  • Pink food coloring optional

Instructions

Prepare the Grapes:

  • Rinse and thoroughly dry the grapes. Remove the stems and set them aside on a clean towel or paper towel to ensure they’re completely dry.

Prepare the Candy Coating:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
  • Once melted, add a few drops of pink food coloring for a vibrant color and cotton candy flavoring (optional) for that authentic taste.

Coat the Grapes:

  • Dip each grape into the melted sugar mixture, using a fork or skewer to hold the grape. Let excess syrup drip off before rolling the grape in crushed hard candies.

Let the Grapes Set:

  • Place the coated grapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow them to rest at room temperature for about 1 hour to let the coating harden.

Enjoy:

  • Once set, serve the Pink Cotton Candy Grapes immediately, or store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days for the best freshness.

Notes

If you’re not a fan of pink food coloring, you can experiment with other colors to suit the occasion.
You can try using different candy flavors like lemon or blue raspberry for a fun twist.
For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle the grapes with melted chocolate before they set.
